This year the Sacramento Regional Design & Build Event will be held at the Milagro Center in Carmichael, CA. Our event has a “Farm to Fork” theme, and it will include an Executive Chef Demonstration, as well as live entertainment, silent auction and live auction with David Sobon Auctions. Money is being raised for the NKBA CA Capital Chapter programs, educational scholarships and protecting our right to practice.  Funds are also being raised for HomeAid Sacramento,, a leading National non-profit provider of housing for today’s homeless. The organization builds and renovates multi-unit shelters for America’s homeless families and individuals through local chapters in 17 markets across the country.

Chef Jeremy Zimmerman
Executive Chef for The Patriot at Milagro Centre

Jeremy’s work in restaurants started at age 16, and he has held nearly every front and back-of-house position in his two decades in hospitality. He attended Scottsdale Culinary Institute, a Le Cordon Bleu school in Arizona, and it was where he was introduced to Chef Roy Yamaguchi. He immediately launched his career working for Roy’s corporate team after graduation; helping to open restaurants in San Diego and Pasadena. His culinary journey pushed him forward to projects such as Chef de Cuisine at the Westin Monache Resort in Mammoth and his most recent role as Chef de Cuisine at the acclaimed the girl and the fig in Sonoma, CA. It was there that Chef Jeremy ultimately learned to utilize local, sustainable, and seasonal goods under the tutelage of Proprietor/Restaurateur Sondra Bernstein and Executive Chef/Managing Partner John Toulze. Jeremy currently resides in Carmichael, CA with his wife Ana, their two children Hand and Pricilla, and their dogs Lola and SnipSnap.
